The project is to imagine, with all its problematics, the implantation of fifteen new houses in a small village of 200 inhabitants in the Pyrenees-Orientales.
Le projet a pour but d’imaginer, avec sa problématique, l’implantation d’une quinzaine de nouvelles maisons dans un petit village de 200 habitants dans les Pyrénées-Orientales.
Rather than densifying the center of the village or creating an appendix to the urban plan, the project aims at creating a satellite hamlet 20 minutes walk south of the village ans to create several dwellings grouped under the theme of living and work.
Plutôt que de densifier le centre du village ou de créer un appendice au plan urbain, le projet prend partie de créer un hameau satellite à 20 minute à pied au Sud du village.
Le but étant de créer plusieurs habitations regroupées sous le thème habitat et travail.
The hamlet is not intended to be autonomous so as not cut off all links with the village of Calce, hence its geographical proximity. It is intended for people working in the wine industry, speciality of the village of Calce.
Le hameau n’a pas vocation à être autonome afin de ne pas le couper de tout lien avec le village de Calce, d’où sa proximité géographique . Il est destiné à des personnes travaillant dans le milieu du vin, spécialité du village de Calce.
Under each house is the space for professional activity ( a large garage, a workshop or a place of storage) directly connected to the main street.
The dwelling above is designed as a tube oriented towards the landscape. Access to the accommodation is via the main street, up stairs leading to a patio adjacent to the accommodation.
Un espace lié à l’activité professionnelle est présent sous chaque maison en lien direct avec la rue principale, permettant l’implantation suivant les besoins d’un grand garage, d’un atelier ou d’un lieu de stockage.
Le logement au-dessus est conçu comme un tube orienté vers le paysage. L’accès au logement se fais par la ruelle principale et donne directement sur une cour ouverte adjacente au logement.
An additional room at the back of the courtyard allows the accommodation more flexibility: it can use as an extension of the house, a workshop or a studio flat to rent.
Une pièce supplémentaire au fond de la cour permet aux logements plus de flexibilité, pouvant être suivant les besoins: Une extension de la maison, un atelier ou un studio à louer.
A large retaining wall, already existing, is restored to become the support on which the houses will be built.
Un grand mur de soutènement déjà existant est restauré pour devenir l’appui sur lequel les maisons vont se poser.
